Do you love to read in bed, like me?
Well, I invented Bed Books because I love to read in bed, but I hated spending my time propping, piling and adjusting a bunch of pillows, only to find I still wasn’t comfortable.
And what about the next day? You can bet I've got a pain or kink in my back, or a sore neck or shoulder because of the position I was in when I was reading in bed the night before. I have to ask myself:
-
Did I read less than I might have if I was more comfortable?
-
Did I make my partner miserable with my endless shifting of position?
-
Do I really enjoy reading in bed anymore?
Then I hit on a great idea; a true innovation in the way books are printed and read. And it’s made all the difference!
"Not only was it the most comfortable reading experience I ever had; I finished the book in half the time because I wasn't focused on tossing and turning to stay comfortable." -- H. Irving, Encino California |
An Invention Born of Necessity
It came to me while on a motor home vacation, when I just didn’t have the head room to sit up in bed. There was literally no comfortable position to be in – and that’s when it hit me! If the book was printed so that I could lie on my side, I could read for hours!

"I will show my Bed Books to my orthopedist. He will be amazed because he is always telling me not to get into awkward body positions for a long time, like holding a phone up to my ear with my shoulder. I don't think he will have a complaint about my reading in bed anymore, because I will be just lying on my side the whole time. Thanks again for this great invention." -- V. Langer, Tulsa Oklahoma |
Why are the world's first Bed Books
literary classics?
In our research for the creation of our First Edition Bed Books, we quickly realized that classic literature is classic literature not only because its titles have been reprinted over and over through the years, have been adopted and made into hundreds of theatrical events, radio shows, and motion pictures, but because they are great reads!
I guarantee you’ll get a kick out of owning and reading a Bed Book. You’ll see that they also make wonderful gifts. You’ll also understand that Bed Books will enable elderly, bedridden, and disabled persons who find it difficult or impossible to sit up, to read in bed comfortably.
We really believe that someday most printed books will be Bed Books, because aside from being perfect for reading in bed, Bed Books can also be read just as easily sitting up, as with a conventional book. But, you may have to answer a lot of questions like, "why are you holding the book like that?"
